Starting Out in Web Comics

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Everyone and their dog (sometimes literally) has a webcomic now.  So why the heck don’t you?!

Maybe you are brand new to the world of webcomics. Maybe you have already started one, but aren’t sure how to get it out there.  Maybe you’ve been at it for awhile, but feel uncertain about how to build your audience. Maybe you don’t even have an idea for a webcomic yet, but draw all the time and think you might want to venture forth into the web.  Well, this is the talk for you.

This talk is all about giving you the knowledge and tools to make smart choices, and the RIGHT choices for YOU and your art. Tons of tools and free resources will be shared and discussed.

Christopher Hemsworth (creator of the popular webcomic Dear Inner Demons) will give you an ultimate crash course on most of the things you need to know to get rolling through the web with your comics.  There will be hard truths, and lessons shared based on failures, as well as some “do as I say, not as I do” examples.  Christopher doesn’t pretend to have it all figured out, but has achieved some success with his webcomic and has a keen sense of the things that WILL help you get where you want to go.

After the talk there will be allotted time for questions and answers.
